This course provides an overview of the Turnitin
plagiarism detection software and how it can be used to scan assignments
submitted through WebCT.

Aims
The aims of this course are to:

familiarise participants with the interface for creating a Turnitin
assignment in WebCT

enable participants to download assignment submissions and view originality
reports

encourage participants to consider the legal and moral aspects when
submitting their students' work to the Turnitin database
Outcomes / Objectives
By the end of this course you should be able to:

create a new Turnitin assignment within a WebCT section
-
submit an assignment on behalf of one of your students

download student submissions to your local disk

view originality reports for student submissions
